Your Guide to SPI Courses at Iowa Wesleyan University

Dates for Summer SPI term: 6/6/2022 to 7/31/2022

SPI courses are offered through a self-paced, fully online environment. To sign up for a SPI course, please fill out the form at this link:  SPI Student Form Here

Please make sure to read the directions and initial and sign where needed. We will accept electronic signatures.

Grades taken through SPI will transfer over to the IW transcript, as long as the student takes a course on the IW equivalency list.

Please talk to your advisor or the registrar to sign up for a SPI Term course. You will need to fill out the form above for the SPI courses.

Additional financial aid is not available to cover the cost of your SPI winter/summer courses.

  1. Pick the days that you can work on a SPI course and plan a specific amount of time to set aside to work on the material. Spread out working on each assignment and make sure to stick with a plan to finish the course on time.
  2. You can re-do the first assignment in any SPI course. Re-do the first assignment as many times as needed to receive a high score and to prepare yourself for future assignments.
  3. Plan when you want to take your mid-term and final exams with the SPI company a week ahead before you take the exam.
  4. You will need a computer or laptop with a video camera to take exams.

  • HIST 174: World Civilization since 1650
  • MUS 225: Survey of Musical Literature
