Music Education Program within the Music Degree

We offer a four-year degree program as well as a minor course of study that can be paired with any other major in music. The music major is comprised of a core of music courses, private instruction, ensembles, concerts, recitals, music labs, and field experience.

  • Develop the knowledge and skills to be successful performers and teachers
  • Cultivate a knowledge base suitable for admittance into graduate study programs
  • Expand global cultural awareness through individual and group performance

  • MUS 351 Advanced Choral and Instrumental Conducting
  • MUS 355 Elementary Methods and Curriculum
  • MUS 356 Secondary Music Methods and Curriculum
  • MUS 386 Instrumental Methods and Curriculum
