Iowa Wesleyan University Humanities Division to Host Trivia Night Series
Mount Pleasant, IA – February 10, 2023 — Iowa Wesleyan University Division of Humanities is excited to announce a series of Trivia Nights scheduled throughout the spring semester. These events will be held on February 15, March 15, and April 12 at 7 pm in the Social Hall, located in the Howe Student Activity Center on the Iowa Wesleyan campus.
Each of the three events will have different trivia themes related to Humanities’ focus on art, history, English, and music. Attendees will have the opportunity to buy answers between rounds. Concessions will be available for purchase, and a silent auction will also be held. All proceeds will support the Humanities media lab.
The themes for February 15 include love and breakup songs, black history, book-to-movie adaptations, and cartoons. The themes for March 15 include children’s literature, famous artists born in March, Irish musical artists, and women’s history. April 12 trivia themes include poetry, famous sculptures, urban legends, and songs about rain.
“I can’t wait to bring the community, students, staff, and faculty together on campus to have fun with trivia. We want to create an enjoyable experience while also helping to support our campus and academic programs. The media lab will help create a welcoming space for humanities majors and aid in technology development to support their academic needs,” said Megan Hills, Associate Dean of Academic Affairs and Humanities Division Chair.
All Trivia Night events are open to the public. Free will donations will be accepted at the door.
