Welcome to Iowa Wesleyan University International Programs Office
The International Programs Office is the university-wide clearinghouse of information and resources for Iowa Wesleyan University faculty, staff, students and researchers involved in academic exchanges, overseas opportunities, and academic research. The International Programs Office works hard to promote the internationalization efforts of the campus community by our Christian mission. It provides advice and counsel to Iowa Wesleyan University faculty, staff, students, and researchers traveling abroad and assistance to international students, faculty, staff and researchers coming to Iowa Wesleyan University for study or work. The International Office works to provide opportunities for students to grow mentally and spiritually.
There is more to do at Iowa Wesleyan University aside from studying! Iowa Wesleyan University’s international students can enjoy a wide variety of planned activities. Cultural festivals, off-campus excursions, and on campus activities gives our students an excellent experience. Our programs and institution encourage students to share their cultural traditions with the community, and we share American culture with them. At first, it can be difficult to live in a different country, so Iowa Wesleyan University creates fun, educational and affordable trips that help with the adjustment process.
Iowa Wesleyan’s International Programs Office also offers a variety of exchanges and study abroad opportunities for students. We currently have opportunities for students who wish to study abroad or participate in an exchange program in Mexico, Israel, Palestine, Spain, London, Wales, Ghana, and China. Depending on the program, students have the opportunity to study a new language, complete a Global Issues Class, complete an internship, or take degree-specific classes.

“As an international student far from my homeland, IW’s friendly community and encouragement from my advisors and professors, has created a great place to study.”
