Admissions Information For International Students

If you are interested in coming to Iowa Wesleyan University, follow these steps:

First Step

Complete the Admissions Application

Second Step

After your application has been submitted, email the following documents to international@iw.edu. Once the documents have been submitted, the Admissions Department will evaluate your application.

  • Certified Transcripts from all secondary schools and universities attended.
  • Certified English Translations of all transcripts
  • Affidavit of support
  • Copy of Passport
  • Bank Statement
  • English Proficiency Score (TOEFL, IELTS, ACT, SAT, EINKEN)

Minimum proficiency scores are listed below:

Residents of the United States, its territories, dominions and possessions who are not native speakers of English are also required to demonstrate English proficiency through either the TOEFL Examination or the ELS Level 112.

Completion of Iowa Wesleyan University ESL Program

Third Step

After recieving the acceptance letter from Iowa Wesleyan University, we will generate your I-20. Once the I-20 has been created, it will be mailed to you and you will be able to obtain your visa. With your visa, you will be able to gain entry into the United States.

All student must provide the following information before traveling to campus. If we do not receive this information, you will not be housed or allowed to attend classes:
