Continuous dining is available throughout the day. Between meal times there are food destinations such as continental breakfast; sandwich and salad bars; along with cereal selections and beverages.

The IW dining program requires all students living in residence halls to participate in the meal plan. Continuous (all day) dining is offered throughout the week with identified meal times for hot breakfast, lunch, and dinner. On weekends, brunch and dinner is served.

We use a computerized photo ID card system reader. When a card is inserted into the reader, the data encoded on the card is electronically scanned and sent to the memory unit, which indicates to the cashier whether the card is valid. Your photo also appears on the screen to assure our cashier the proper meal plan owner is presenting the card. Your ID card should be treated like cash or a credit card. If you lose or damage it, report it immediately to the campus IT department for replacement. There is a non-refundable charge of $200 for the replacement card. We are sorry, but you are not allowed to eat in the dining hall without your meal card or a temporary card provided by the IT department.

Your meal ID card must be presented at each meal you intend to eat. The cashier will take your card, verify your picture and insert it into a card reader. If the reader indicates that your card has not been accepted previously for that meal, your card will be returned, and you may enter the serving area. Invalid cards will be picked up by the cashier. If your card is signaled invalid, you should check with the campus IT department or dining hall office immediately. There may be several reasons for this condition. The system also protects you from unauthorized use of your ID card. Since the ID card system prevents unauthorized persons from using the food services you have paid for, ID cards and temporary cards are not transferable for any reason.
