Sport Management Program within the Business Administration Degree

Our sport management program is a field of education and vocation concerning the business aspect of sport. Today more than ever, sport is woven into the social, cultural, and economic fabric of society. Sport is business. Sport is entertainment. Sport has endless educational and career opportunities awaiting those who have a passion for the industry.

If your passion lies in the world of sports, our professionally focused sport management program will hone your skills in sports administration and sports governance/policy; sports business, finance, and sales; sports marketing and promotion; facility and arena management; event planning; legal and ethical issues in sport; sports communications; athletic compliance and sports law; sports analytics, and the Esports boom. In addition, you will participate in a sport management program internship that exposes you to real experience within several areas of sport management professions. Iowa Wesleyan has a partnership with ESPN X Games for internship opportunities. IW students are provided access to work at the summer and winter X Games for valuable learning and hands-on experiences on some of the biggest stages in sports.

  • SM 362 Sport Governance and Organizational Strategy

Business Administration Requirements:

  • All concentrations are required to complete the core business requirements
